“Somewhere in this wasteland lies a mountain we’ve only seen in dreams. Ancient Machines rest at the base, still ticking, following the final orders of forgotten masters. And somewhere deep beneath the ice and stone, past the winding caverns and lava lakes, waits the Heart of the Mountain. It waits for us.
“When we arrive, we’re going to turn our spears and blades to hammers and pickaxes. We’re going to gather whoever we can. We’re going to light the Forge. And we’re going to mine.”
Tunnel. Advance. Empower. Ascend.
Heart of the Mountain is a competitive deckbuilding board game for 1-4 players. Develop your Machine, gain powerful allies and mine through the mountain first to claim victory!
Every player operates a Machine - an impossibly huge construct with roots all throughout the Mountain - that can be upgraded with artifact cards to synergize with your unique deckbuilding strategy.
Your mining cards are invaluable for gathering resources and digging closer to victory. Meanwhile, your heat cards will power up your Forge - letting you smelt rare materials and recruit powerful allies.
Each faction has unique strengths. Purify your deck with master Alchemists, tunnel deep with swift Monsters, control the Machine with elegant Artisans, or Freeze your opponents with powerful Nomads.
Mix and match your ideal recruits to build a powerful team and claim the Heart first!
If you’re brave - or foolhardy - you can attempt to Awaken for a massive late-game power boost.
Customize your Machine with artifacts over the course of the game, giving you different passive and active abilities each turn.
